Specialist in Middle Dutch Language and a member of the Scholarly Advisory Board of the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center (’s-Hertogenbosch).

Prof.dr. Nils Büttner
Art historian and Author

Professor of Art History at the State Academy of Arts, Stuttgart. He specialises in the visual culture of Germany and the Netherlands from the fifteenth to the seventeenth centuries.

Dr. Lucas van Dijck
Author, Historian, and JBP-team

Studied Philosophy and Theology in Paris, France and elsewhere. He later studied history in the city of Utrecht, The Netherlands with the Middle Ages as his major. In 1973 he wrote a his dissertation on the history of the Confraternity of Our Lady. In 2001 his book on Bosch was published: “Op zoek naar Jheronimus van Aken”.

Studied Fine Arts, Art History, Classical Archaeology, History and Dutch . His dissertation “Hieronymus Bosch: Malerei als Vision, Lehrbild und Kunstwerk” was published in 2009. In 2013 he published “Hieronymus Bosch: Complete Works”.

Dr. Ed Hoffman
Art historian, Author, and Historian

Studied history and art history at the universities of Nijmegen and Utrecht, in the Netherlands. He taught both subjects during many years. As a member of the Educational Board, he has be involved in the the thematic organisation of the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center, in ‘s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

Art historian, sculptress and independent researcher. In 2015, she published Jeroen Bosch – Hemel, hel dealing with the embedding of the Garden of Delights tryptich in its cultural-historical environment.

Dra. Blandine Landau
Art historian and Author

Earned her Bachelor’s degree in art history and Master’s degree in museology at the École du Louvre, France. After international multidisciplinary training, she became the head of the Museum of Longwy in Lorraine, France. Her PhD research focuses on the economy of Boschian production from the sixteenth century till today.

Independent researcher who studied history and art history at the University of Vienna. His publications focus on late medieval and early modern iconography and graphic art. He has published several articles on Bosch and contributed to a number of books on the same artist.

Prof. dr. Larry Silver
Art historian and Author

The Farquhar Professor of Art History at the University of Pennsylvania and formerly taught at Berkeley and Northwestern. He published a number of articles on Bosch, contributed to books and exhibition catalogues on Bosch and in 2006, he published the monograph Hieronymus Bosch.
