“Drie aan Jheronimus Bosch toe te schrijven komposities?” (Paul Vandenbroeck) 1984
[in: Jaarboek Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen, 1984, pp. 67-83]
Vandenbroeck suggests that the central panel of a Lamentation triptych (Louvain, Stedelijk Museum, some 8 other versions are known), a Lamentation (Granada, Los Ogijares) and two wings of an Epiphany (formerly in a German princely collection) are copies after Bosch prototypes. Vandenbroeck also refers to an Epiphany (current location unknown), which he situates in the master’s environment.
