Acquired 03.01.1936 of art trade Richard Krebs. The wordly Irish Knight of Tondalus dropped to dead at a banquet and stayed for three days in rigor mortis. Then he described his walk through heaven and hell during sleep and vowed a life pleasing to God. (Brother Marcus, Regensburg 1150 / 60; s Unverfehrt 1980, p. 220) * after Unverfehrt created around 1580, remembering at Jacob Isaacsz. Swanenburgh. Architecture and character types talk around 1530 but for an earlier version. (B. Schnackenburg, 1996)
