History:
History: William Frederick Webb (died in 1899) bequeathed the drawing in that year to his daughter Geraldine Katherine Webb in Nottinghamshire. Bequeathed to her husband Herbert Chermside, the owner of the Pepper Arden Hall in Yorkshire. Then inherited by Richard Gatty in Yorkshire. In 1952, acquired by the National Art Collections Fund, which in that year have donated to the British Museum.
