History:
According to the earliest records, from the sale of Muller, at Amsterdam, on the 12/13 of July, 1926 lot no. 601 to 1200 £ of the estate of the chevalier Camillo Castigliono in Vienna, and came into the possession of the Joseph-Guillaume-Jean Camberlain, in Brussels, Belgium. On the 13th of July, 1926, it was bought by the art Dealer Jacques. Hageraats, in ’s-Gravenhage (the hague and for the PLACING of 1200,-- as a real Hieronymus Bosch was sold to Frederik Muller, at Amsterdam, the netherlands. In 1928 and 1929, are on loan to the Noordbrabants Museum in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the netherlands (which was the Provincial Society of Arts and Sciences in North Brabant). After that, it is in the possession of Carol Wald, in Southfield (USA) and the Spencer A. Samuels Gallery, New York. Collection of the artist Carold Wald, New York, until 1976; purchased by the Cecil Amelia Blaffer Foundation from European Fine Art Foundation, Switzerland, 1976; transferred to the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation, 1978 in Houston
