The Temptation of Saint Anthony was twice illustrated by Jacques Callot (1592-1635). The first time was in Florence, around 1616. The evidence is extremely rare, the artist has accidentally destroye d his plate before he really had finished. The Lorraine Museum has an exceptional event, retouched by the hand of Callot. At the end of his life, gave the engraver in 1635, a second version of the subject, more detailed, more rigorous technical. From these two Temptations of Saint Anthony the exhibition examined the theme of the engraved image. It was made of loans from the National Library of France, the municipal library and the Museum of fine arts of Nancy.
