Bosch’s painting technique
Rather than an interpretative approach, I prefer copying to study Bosch’s painting technique and creative process in depth. Through my enlarged fragments of ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’ I intent to draw attention to surprising aspects of Bosch’s paintings so as to appreciate even more his aesthetic virtuosity. ‘Form aesthetics’, ‘gracefulness’, ‘colouristic refinement’, ‘sophisticated form variation’ are all relevant terms that are too often underexposed.

Novel: The Abducted Garden
My fascination for the history of the ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’, induced me to write a novel about the transport of this work to Spain in the 16th century, titled ‘De ontvoerde Tuin’ (The abducted Garden).
