Also called The War or Besieged Elephant.

Amid a turbulent theater of war is an elephant. On his back is a fantastic building which entrenched soldiers. They defend themselves against the attackers who attempt to climb the elephant with ladders. Around the elephant is everywhere fought by heavily armored warriors. It is set in a hilly landscape.

The original drawing from Duhameel can be seen in the Albertina in Vienna. Similar engravings can be seen for example in Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam (BdH 10068(PK), the Museum Plantin-Moretus in Amtwerp, Art Dealer David Tunick in New York, the British Museum in London and Palazzo Pitti in Firenze
