Dr. Ed Hoffman

Ed Hoffman was born in Berlicum in 1941. He studied history and art history at the universities of Nijmegen and Utrecht. He taught both subjects for many years.

In 1974 he obtained his doctorate on a historical subject: Noord-Brabant and the Revolt of 1830. Since 2001 he has been involved in the preparation, layout and, as a member of the Educational Council, in the substantive organization of the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center.

Publications

Hoffman published many cultural-historical articles, and two books: in 2007 Jheronimus Bosch, Zijn Spiegels, Zijn Verten, Zijn Scheppers, Zijn Werken and in 2014 Kijken naar Bosch, A voyage of discovery through all the paintings.
