According the Museum:
This image of Christ rescuing Adam and Eve from Purgatory is one of the earliest imitations after Hieronymus Bosch in the John G. Johnson collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The scene is replete with bizarre creatures suffering from deformities that were thought to forebode evil in early modern Europe.
A similar picture can be seen in the Mimara Museum in Zagreb (Croatia). This copy has described two side panels. Possibly the same painter as the painting The Last Judgment in Munich. Above right is the inscription "P. CRISTOPSEN.M.F ' Possibly the same painter/follower as the Last Judgement in Munich.
