Possibly a fragment of the Hieronymus Bosch Coronation of Thorns in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
A similar painting (28,2 x 21,3) can be seen in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.

In 1949 by Friedländer signaled at Koetser, after which it belonged to the private collection of J. and B. Linsky in New York City.
