Explanation: Agreements with the copy in Museo Correr in Venice; inscription at the top center of the blade: 'ECTOZ'

Painter: attributed to Jan Mostaert (Unverfehrt) and Mandijn (Christies); Website 'rkd.nl' possibly Jan Mandijn, rejected Jan Mostaert and Jan Wellens de Cock.

History:

Spotted in 1945 at Drey Art Gallery in London, where it was also spotted in 1970, namely at Hallsborough Gallery. On December 8, 2004 (sale 6967, Lot 15) sold by Christies in London, as a Mandin, for £ 408,450 and found in 2005 at Gallery De Jonckheere in Paris (identified at TEFAF Maastricht in 2005)
