The painting is based on the right panel 'Hell' of the painting 'The garden of Earthly Delights'in the Prado in Madrid, combined with ' the Last Judgement' in Vienna.

A similar composition can be found in the Museum of Modern Arts in Cairo, Egypt, Sotheby's New York 2010 and Christies New York 1995 (central panel).
