Similar images from the Tree-man can be seen in The Alberta in Vienna (probably the original), the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (RP-P-1882 - A-6534), Museum Plantin-Moretus - Stedelijk Prentenkabinet in Antwerp (PK.OP.14048) and in The British Museum in London (1871,1209.4797).

Private property of Friedrich August von Sachsen (1797 - 1854). Auctioned on November 15, 1928 by Boerner in Leipzig. Bequest from Dr. JCJ Bierens de Haan in 1951 to the Lucas van Leyden Foundation, which lent the engraving to the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum on an unknown date.
