The Franciscan father Gerlach (real name: Simon Schümmer, °’s-Hertogenbosch, 1901) never published a book about Bosch but he did publish numerous articles in diverse magazines and contributions to books of other authors. In December 1987 father Gerlach passed away and in this book a number of those articles and contributions are reprinted, as a mark of honour. The anthology is preceded by a written portrait of the Bosch scholar and followed by a survey of his publications about Bosch.
