[in: Simiolus, vol. 15 (1985), pp. 119-130]

In a not very convincing way Tuttle tries to point out that Eve in the left interior panel of the Garden of Delights is in fact Lilith, according to Jewish legends Adam’s first wife who rebelled against Adam’s authority and then had sexual intercourse with demons. According to Tuttle the exterior panels, the central panel and the right interior panel can also be related to demonism, witchcraft and eroticism.
