“Het standbeeld van Jeroen Bosch” (Ferd van Leeuwe) 2023

A bronze statue of Jheronimus Bosch was solemnly and festively unveiled at the ’s-Hertogenbosch Markt (Market Place) on June 17, 1930. The statue was made by the sculptor August Falise. The unveiling was accompanied by the publication of a commemorative medal and by an exhibition in what was then called the Centraal Brabants Museum. In 2007 the statue was moved: it now stands in front of the house of Bosch’s father.
