A painted copy of this drawing (62 x 40) is auctioned at Christie's 2012 on 14 November in Amsterdam and Auction-Galerie Koller in Zurich 2019. A similar image can be found in the National Gallery of Art in Washington (1954.12.225), Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and at the Christie's auction in Amsterdam in 1958.

There may be a relationship with the drawing ' Temptation of St Anthony in a ruin in front of a river landscape' from Peter Kunst in the Akademie der Bildende Kunst in Vienna (nr. HZ 2482)
