Paintings with a similar composition can be found in the Noordbrabants Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch (On loan from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam), Fiviez in Brussels (1924), Princeton University Art Museum, on the inside of the left panel of the Passion Triptych in Valencia, in the Princeton University Art Museum and in 1924 at Kunsthandel Mersch in Paris.

History:

Was for sale on 28 June 1931 at the art dealer Caspari in Munich and subsequently came into the possession of Baron H. in Westphalia. In 1938 sold from this private property in Wesphalia to Misses Anne R. and Amy Putnam. From 1938 (?) Owned by Timken Art Gallery in San Diego, who loaned it to the San Diego Museum of Art on an unknown date.
