History:

The earliest known owner was Kunsthandel Paul Mersch in 1927. Galerie Fischer from Lucerne then auctioned it from the collection of Mr. La Borderie on July 19, 1927, lot no. 58 and on April 8, 1930 at the J. Fievez auction in Brussels, both like a Pieter Huys.
